Spin The Yard Foundation Launches New York Equity + Environmental Justice Center at Downtown Wyandanch
It is a privilege to invite representatives of the community, businesses, government, and media to the press conference announcing the launch of the New York Equity + Environmental Justice Center (EEJC) at Downtown Wyandanch. EEJC is a social equity collective of public-private partners accelerating equity and environmental justice for all. This critical work is accomplished through sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and placemaking.
The objective of the press conference is to foster engagement and participation among industry leaders, government, and community to learn about our new downtown revitalization development initiatives, efforts to advance New York’s commitment to reach 100% zero-emission electricity by 2040 (including disadvantaged communities receiving 35% - 40% of overall benefits of spending on clean energy and energy efficiency programs, projects or investments) and advance small business and workforce/labor opportunities across sectors such as clean energy, utilities, construction, healthcare, law enforcement, manufacturing, hospitality, and maritime industries.
